Pair of bronze and brass octagonal lanterns
These were salvaged in Scotland where they were originally placed on gate pillars outside a grand hotel
The hotel was renovated and these were discarded and taken home by one of the contractors .
40 years later they were found by a family member stored and we were lucky enough to purchase them to be restored , which has taken some time with 3 layers of paint to strip .
The original glass was unfortunately broken apart from one panel on one lantern etched in the glass
